Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain extension is the sole TLD planned for personal websites only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are known by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to reserve john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken third-level domains remained operational.

Through our firm, you can register your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to change the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer key from the current registration provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no particular requirements on who can secure a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.

The .NAME generic domain name extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the precise spelling in your native language.
